CREATIVE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Brandfire Marketing Group is looking for an experienced Creative Operations Manager to fill an immediate opening.

Position Title: Creative Operations Manager
Reports to: Senior Vice President
Location: Markham, ON

This is an “air-traffic control” responsibility for all projects entering or leaving the creative/digital department and is critical to the efficient planning and execution of all creative projects.

Posiiton Responsibilities

  • Work with various cross functional teams to continuously forecast future work and assignment of creative resources.

  • Ensuring that each project that comes into the creative department has proper Project coordination, including creative teams workload, timelines and workback schedules (as provided by both creatives and account teams).

  • Thoughtful allocation of creative resources.

  • Development and maintenance of a status report on all creative projects.

  • Work with Executive Creative Director (ECD) to schedule and manage the flow of required reviews and approvals.

  • Maintain an up-to-date freelance directory & work with ECD to attain freelance resources when necessary (creative, producers, etc).

  • Proactively raise red flags when timelines are being missed and provide solutions for getting things back on track.

  • Maintain and manage creative process and procedures.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional groups.

  • Lead status communication of all projects through weekly meetings, status reports and daily updates.

  • Assist Creative Director / Creative Services with estimating of creative hours for all programs & help produce creative quotes/estimates, as needed.

  • Identify award show opportunities, co-ordinate and ultimately submit all creative award show entries.

  • Ensure overall adherence to the creative process from creative brief to production through oversight and collaboration with Account Management.

  • Problem solve with internal teams to manage conflicting priorities.

  • Ensure that the creative team operates in an efficient and innovative manner.

  • Approve all timesheets for the Creative Department, Full time & Freelance.

  • Ensures that creative work is produced on time and with the degree of quality that Brandfire would be proud of.

  • Remains current on industry trends and technology.

Required Experience and Education

  • 10+ years of related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong organization and management skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to problem solve and manage change in a fast paced environment

  • A desire for accuracy and improving processes are keys for success

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

  • Experience with Workamajig system with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

Required education:

  • Post Secondary Education - Ideally Bachelor's degree, University diploma or equivalent in a related field
